Britescan AI
As the UX/UI Designer for Computer Courage, I was able to quickly execute and complete user flows, wireframes, testing, and design in a short deadline period. The founders of Britescan appreciated our team’s timely manner. My designs were approved by investors, and is now used by the target customer, McCormick Spices.
My goal was to create a cloud-based image classification solution that allows customers to build databases using AI and machine learning made easily accessible via API and mobile SDK. The founders of Britescan appreciated our team’s timely manner.
In combination with the iVeris Machine, users can use the application to receive automatic verification on any item from gemstones to herbs.
BriteScan offers these previously proprietary methods to labs, manufacturers, food & beverage companies, cannabis growers, oil producers, government agencies and in- house testing labs on a global basis. Although my original design for the Britescan app is functional, I had several gripes:
CTAs were not user or mobile-friendly. Some essential CTA’s disappeared when users scrolled down the page.
The branding on the app is dull and does not compel users to use it. Original Britescan colors are also not AA-friendly.
Users have to click through multiple pages to find information
❌
Vibe is cold and impersonal. Brand’s hi-lighter green color isn’t web compliant.
❌
On-boarding process or tutorials on how to navigate app is nonexistent.
❌
Image overload and tiny text. Users risk missing target pages and information
❌
Confusing interface; not enough differentiation between pages
